Take a look at this opportunity, that is just what the doctor ordered! We are on the hunt for a Mid-Senior Brand Manager to join the team at a global natural healthcare group based in Cape Town. There is one “work from home” day.
 
We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced Brand Manager to oversee two established in-house brands. As Brand Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing brand strategies, managing marketing campaigns, conducting market research, and ensuring brand consistency across all channels.
 
This role also includes comprehensive portfolio management, channel management, and providing field support to the sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in brand management, is data-driven, has excellent communication skills. Daily
    • Review and approve marketing materials and content to ensure consistency with brand guidelines and messaging strategy.
    • Stay updated on competitors’ activities to maintain a competitive edge.
    • Coordinate with marketing, sales, operations, RP, and product development teams to ensure alignment on brand-related projects and initiatives.
 
Weekly
    • Ensure products are accurately represented across all channels and that marketing activities are on track and driving sales.
    • Hold regular meetings with key stakeholders to discuss progress and strategize future actions.
    • Plan and create upcoming content and campaign schedules, coordinating with internal and agency teams for timely execution.
 
Monthly
    • Analyse metrics related to recent customer, sales, and marketing campaigns.
    • Evaluate the overall brand strategy against performance data and market developments to identify areas for adjustment or improvement.
    • Review and adjust the marketing budget allocations based on campaign performance and strategic priorities.
    • Prepare detailed reports on budget, sales, and brand performance, including ROI on marketing campaigns, to share with senior management.
    • Participate in discussions about new product development or services that can enhance the brand’s offering based on consumer feedback and market trends.
    • Conduct monthly in field visits to key customers – rotating through major provinces.
 
Quarterly/Annual
    • Engage in strategic planning sessions to revise or reaffirm the brand’s direction, including setting objectives for market expansion, product development, and brand positioning.
    • Conduct a comprehensive review of the brand and product health, including sales, pricing, brand awareness, customer loyalty, and market position, to guide future strategy.
    • Conduct comprehensive pricing reviews compared to competitors and factors affecting margins.
 
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
 
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
    • 5+ years proven experience as a Brand Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the consumer goods or health and wellness industry.
    • Strong understanding of brand management principles, marketing strategies, and consumer behavior.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong data, decision making and analytical skills.
    • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans.
    • Proficiency in digital marketing, social media platforms, and marketing analytics tools.
    • Customer and market orientated.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
    • Leadership skills.
    • Adaptable and eager to learn.
    • Experience in sales and/or as a sales representative is beneficial.
    • Ideal candidate has his/her own transport and lives within a convenient travel distance to the office which is based in central Cape Town.
