Industrial Engineer

Position Overview

The Industrial Engineer will primarily focus on documenting the manufacturing processes of underground mining equipment, supporting our commitment to quality and efficiency during this crucial period.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers and manufacturing teams to document detailed manufacturing processes for Fermel’s underground mining equipment.
• Create and update comprehensive process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow diagrams.
• Assist in conducting time studies and analyzing production data to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and enhanced efficiency.
• Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Assist in production planning by providing accurate process documentation and contributing to the development of manufacturing schedules.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues and improve product quality through root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly in heavy equipment or machinery manufacturing, is preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD software and experience with process simulation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and propose actionable recommendations for process improvement.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing accurate and thorough documentation.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
