TUTOR (FIXED TERM CONTRACT UNTIL DECEMBER 2026)

SCHOOL OF ANIMAL, PLANT AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES

Job Summary: The School of Animal, Plant and Environmental Sciences teaches service courses to the Medical Sciences. Applications are invited for a Tutor in Integrated Studies 

                          for Medical Students (first year) programme. The applicant must have a MSc degree and appropriate experience with first year University tutoring/teaching assistant duties.

Minimum qualification / requirement

·       MSc degree, with undergraduate majors in Biology and Physiology

·       Experience in tutoring or teaching assistant duties to undergraduate courses, especially for the service Medical Biology courses, and small tutorial group classes

·       Excellent oral and written skills in English

·       Ability to work in a collaborative teaching environment

·       Enthusiasm and passion for teaching

Key Performance Areas:  

The candidate is required to:

·       Develop tutorial materials, coordinate, and facilitate tutorial and lab sessions

·       Assist in the planning, facilitation and assessments of integrated activities and labs across three disciplines (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics)

·       Assist with the administration of the course: marking and collating marks, setup teaching assistants’ meetings and invigilate assessments
