Machine Setter

Reporting to the Production Manager, the incumbent will regulate the production process flow through & plant, prepares plant for variable trends and makes adjustments according to the plan. Be responsible for basic maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and machines in the production environment.

Requirements

• Grade 12
• 3-5 Years experience in Injection Moulding
• Clear Criminal Record

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting parameters and operating large Injection Moulding Machine
• Experience as an Injection Moulding Machine Setter or similar role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ensure correct and efficient production runs (minimal scrap levels)
• Optimal asset utilisation, tasks delivered on time and as planned
• Efficient in material mixing process, breakdown and quality procedures
• Ensure correct and efficient production changes
• Assist in the management of losses (Theft, shrinkage, etc.)
• Provide excellent customer experience and maintain good internal & external stakeholder relations
• Provide critical customer feedback 1o supervisor
• Organise own work effectively to complete tasks on-time and per priority
• Ensure all reports on time and at the right quality
• Ensure all production papers are filed correctly
• Maintain good communication with all departments and co- workers
• Ensure all tooling is clean and packed away safely after use
• Ensure factory hygiene, housekeeping and safety practices are adhered to, at all
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications(advantageous)
• Technical training or certification in injection moulding technology (advantageous).
