Requirements:
- Matric
- A tertiary qualification – advantageous.
- Experience in a similar role, within an FMCG environment.
- Experience in store planning and layout design.
- Technical knowledge and skills using ERP systems and general programmes / software.
- Driver’s license and own vehicle. Able to travel to branches when required.
- Must contribute and work with the team, go the extra mile, be willing to work long hours and be hands on.
- Must be able to actively get involved in all regional and branch activities, working well to ensure successful completion of any project.
- Must have the ability to multitask and project manage tasks, with the ability to work with various service providers under extreme pressure and timelines.
- Must be organised and be able to prioritise.
- Dedicated, responsible, adaptable to change and work within the company culture of excellence through respect and hard/smart work ethics.

FIELD SALES MANAGER [FMCG]
Location: Durban
Our national client is looking for a Field Sales Manager [Retail Planner] to join their team and service the KZN region.
Responsibilities:
The incumbent must be able to enhance customer satisfaction, assist with meeting sales and profitability goals, whilst keeping expenses under control. They must be responsible for maximising the retail potential, stock control and maintaining net-stock ordering and forecasting for retail branches. They must monitor and control merchandising in retail to be in line with planograms. They will also be involved in branch audits from a merchandising, stock control and administrative point of view.
- Maintain regional retail performance metrics.
- Complete regional operational requirements by scheduling and prioritising tasks and setting objectives.
- Actively oversee and manage inventories, taking in consideration seasonal and operational requirements.
- Be actively involved in branch stock-takes and investigate discrepancies together with management.
- Constant analyses and communication of pricing, merchandising, competitor activity, promotions, and customer behaviour.
- Work closely with the Divisional Retail Manager and all other management and staff to ensure that all sales and operational strategies are well thought out, suitable and executable.
- Maintain professional, technical and industry knowledge by attending educational workshops and training programmes, reviewing retail related publications, establishing personal networks and constantly becoming aware of retail market opportunities and threats.
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Ensure all branches maintain a safe environment by complying with all legal requirements.
