IT Specialist

Introduction:

Christian Art Distributors currently has a vacancy for an IT specialist to be based fulltime at our head office in Vereeniging (Vaal Triangle), within the wholesale and retail sector.

Job description:

As an IT specialist at Christian Art Distributors, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and efficiency. You will play a critical role in supporting our technical operations and providing top-notch IT solutions and be available on stand-by for urgent matters.

Key responsibilities:

• System administration: Manage and maintain servers, networks, and computer systems.
• Technical support: Provide advanced technical support to staff and troubleshoot IT-related issues
• Network management: Oversee network infrastructure, including configuration, security, and performance optimisation.
• Software management: Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
• Security: Implement and manage security measures to protect data and systems from cyber threats.
• Project management: Lead IT projects, from planning and execution to completion, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures.
• Training: Train and support employees on IT best practices and new technologies.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of eight years of experience in IT.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

Skills:

• Proficiency in network and system administration.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
• Experience with cloud services and virtualisation technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
