Our client, a distinguished engineering firm specialising in construction and consulting services, as well as being an Independent Power Producer (IPP), is in search of a dynamic, highly motivated, and skilled internal sales representative.
This individual will be tasked with identifying new sales opportunities through calls and emails, leveraging a deep understanding of customer needs, and assisting the sales team in closing deals.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate relationships with existing clients and seek out new sales opportunities.
- Employ various methods like cold calling and email campaigns to generate leads.
- Promptly respond to inquiries and ensure swift resolution for both internal and external customers.
- Meet monthly sales targets and contribute actively to sales growth initiatives.
- Provide timely quotations and exceptional service to clients via telephone and online channels.
- Maintain accurate customer records in the CRM system.
- Identify upsell opportunities and collaborate with the sales team for customer satisfaction.
- Stay informed about products and services to address customer queries effectively.
- Support the sales team with administrative tasks like quotation compilation and order processing.
- Coordinate appointments for product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients.
- Assist with administrative duties in the tender process as required.
- Manage financial tasks such as quote processing and invoice generation.
- Keep internal price lists updated and ensure database accuracy.
Skills requirements:
- Customer service experience with a sense of urgency and focus on quality.
- Ability to handle diverse tasks in a high-pressure setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record in internal sales, preferably in engineering, mining, or agriculture.
- Proficiency in English; French fluency is a plus.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent computer skills and aptitude for learning new sales tools.
- Matic qualification preferred, along with additional sales training.
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and prioritise tasks effectively.
