Electrician

We are seeking an experienced electrician with specialised expertise in electrical reticulation.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair medium voltage electrical systems, including cast iron equipment.
• Perform jointing and termination work on both mulitcore and single core PILCA & XLPE insulated cables.
• Conduct inspections and testing of medium voltage equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
• Safely work with indoor, outdoor and overhead line equipment, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Utilize expertise in cable fault location and cable testing to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
• Complete MV switching operations as required, ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment.
• Maintain up-to-date certifications, including ORHVS, MV switching, and working at heights.
• Provide proof of experience and quality of work during the interview process.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in working with cast iron and 11/22 and 33kV medium voltage systems.
• Expertise in mulitcore and single core PILCA & XLPE insulated joints & terminations.
• Familiarity with indoor, outdoor and overhead line equipment.
• Working at heights course completed.
• Up-to-date medicals and ORHVS certification obtained within the last two years.
• MV switching certification and experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
