 Eat, sleep, sports, repeat? This is your gig! We have an exhilarating hybrid opportunity for a Mid-Senior Strategist at a funky sports marketing agency in Cape Town.
 
We’re looking for a strategic thinker – a player who is proficient in crafting and executing digital, social and content marketing campaigns in the sports marketing space.
It’s game on for the successful Strategist who will work to help grow the agency, its clients, and bring new expertise to a dynamic team of experienced sports marketers, working with some of the world’s leading sports brands.
 
To hit it out of the park in this role, you’ll need to have a curious mind, and a strong appetite for new technology, emerging platforms, sports, and driving growth for both the client and the agency.
 
As the Strategic Planner, you’ll be responsible for taking briefs from clients, and formulating and implementing communication plans in order to help clients achieve their respective objectives. As an entrepreneurial contender you’ll score a working environment that is incredibly stimulating.

Responsibilities
    • To lead growth of the strategic discipline in the agency
    • Work with the various internal and external executional Teams to evaluate current strategies and implement improvements
    • Analyse and report on the success of campaigns
 
 
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
 
    • Industry relevant Degree/Diploma
    • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
    • A grasp of how business, brands and consumers interact
    • Experience working in a large agency environment
    • Through the line planning strength with an expertise in digital, social and content marketing strategy
    • Specialist understanding of Paid, Owned & Earned media, implementation, and optimisation tactics
    • The ability to develop relationships — internally with your team, and externally with clients, media owners, and partner agencies
    • Digitally connected with a curious mind
    • Proficiency in Google Analytics, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
    • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
    • Strong administrative, problem-solving, and analytical skills
    • To be diligent with high attention to detail (accuracy is critical)
    • Strong organisational, interpersonal, and project management skills
    • A desire to learn more about the trends shaping sports marketing behaviour today and, in the future,
    • An understanding of systems and processes
    • The ability to train team members.
