Position: Sales representative

Location: Cape Town

Working scenario: Hybrid

About the role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales representative to promote and sell our chemical and biochemical products to various industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, and research institutions. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of chemistry and biochemistry, excellent communication and sales skills, and the ability to build long-term relationships with customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking, market research, and lead generation
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations, product demonstrations, and technical training sessions
  • Understand customer needs and provide solutions through our product offerings
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions of sales contracts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, technical support, and logistics
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and new product developments meet and exceed sales targets and performance goals.

Minimum requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of chemical and biochemical principles, products, and applications
  • Ability to travel (up to 50% of the time)
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office
  • Degree/diploma in marketing and sales, or related field or five + years of sales experience in the bulk transport and chemical transportation industry
  • Industry certifications, advantageous
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and safety standards

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
