Job Description


Introduction

As the Hospital Manager at Hoedspruit Private Hospital, you will oversee all aspects of hospital operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and efficient management of resources. Your role will involve strategic planning, financial management, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance to achieve organizational goals and meet the needs of patients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree will be advantageous.
  • Certification in Healthcare Management/Administration is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in healthcare management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing hospital operations, including staff supervision, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Experience in implementing quality improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Familiarity with healthcare information systems and technology.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, including physicians, staff, patients, and community members.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change and foster a culture of continuous improvement

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans and objectives to achieve the hospital’s mission and vision.
  • Oversee all aspects of hospital operations, including clinical services, administrative functions, and support services.
  • Manage financial resources effectively, including budgeting, revenue generation, and expense control.
  • Supervise department managers and staff, providing leadership, guidance, and support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and operational metrics to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with medical staff, nursing leadership, and other stakeholders to optimize patient care delivery and outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, insurers, and community organizations.
  • Participate in hospital committees, task forces, and quality improvement teams to drive organizational initiatives.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders on hospital performance, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and service excellence among staff, patients, and stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging issues affecting hospital management and healthcare delivery.
