Warranty and Costing Clerk

A leading motor vehicle group in the Cape Town, Foreshore area, is looking for a experienced warranty and costing clerk to join their team. The successful candidate will be one of three Warranty and Costing clerks.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a warranty clerk within an automotive dealership is required.
  • Experience with cost estimation and invoicing in an automotive context.
  • Proficiency with dealership management software
  • In-depth understanding of vehicle parts, repairs, and warranty processes.
  • Familiarity with manufacturer warranty policies and procedures.
  • Ability to explain complex warranty and costing information to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Understanding of and adherence to dealership and manufacturer policies and procedures.

Duties:

  • The successful candidate will average 12 to 15 jobs per day
  • Processing Warranty Claims
  • Cost Estimation and Calculation
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping
  • Customer and Manufacturer Liaison
  • Compliance and Quality Control
  • Ensure all warranty and costing processes adhere to manufacturer guidelines, dealership policies, and legal requirements.
  • Perform quality control checks on repairs and services to validate warranty claims and cost estimates, ensuring accuracy and fairness.
