Junior Graphic Designer and Marketing Assistant

Key responsibilities

Graphic design:

• Create visual content for digital and print media (print-ready files), including social media graphics, website banners, email newsletters, brochures, pull-up banners, etc.
• Assist in the development of marketing collateral that aligns with strong brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
• Photo editing, retouching, etching and image optimisation.
• Collaborate with marketing to conceptualise and execute creative ideas.
• Website design and management skills

Marketing assistance:

• Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns, promotions, and events.
• Manage and update the company’s social media platforms, ensuring consistent brand messaging.
• Support the creation and scheduling of content for email marketing campaigns.
• Conduct market research and analyse trends to contribute to marketing strategies.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using analytics tools as well as effective budgeting.
• Content creation, copywriting and proofreading.

Administrative tasks:

• Maintain organised files of design assets and marketing materials.
• Assist with general tasks as needed, including customer inquiries and other ad-hoc duties.
• Time management and keeping track of ongoing tasks
• Record keeping, internal distribution and communication of promotions and events

Requirements

Education and experience:

• Certificate or diploma in graphic design is required.
• Certificate in marketing, communications, or a related field is not a requirement but would be advantageous
• 1-2 years of experience in graphic design and/or marketing

Skills:

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva.
• Basic video editing abilities
• Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems (CMS).
• Strong visual and conceptual skills with very high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with MacOS
