Diesel Technician

A well-established dealership in Midvaal, Gauteng is looking for a Diesel Technicians with preferably Iveco/DAF/UD/FAW experience.

Responsibilities:

• Fault-finding and diagnosis on IVECO/DAF/UD/FAW Busses/Trucks by interpreting product “under performance” and/or failure.
• Must have excellent electrical skills on trucks.
• By following directives provided in Workshop Manuals, produce work of the brands’ acceptable standards.
• Follow repair, maintenance instructions and specifications as per the manual.
• Ensure excellence in customer service delivery through meticulously following procedures/processes.
• Provide comprehensive and accurate reports on diagnosis, assessment of component/part, failures, observations, actions and recommendations.

Requirements:

• Must be practically and mechanically oriented.
• Trade Test Certificate- Qualified Diesel Mechanic.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years (not including years as an apprentice) IVECO/FAW/DAF experience as a qualified diesel technician.
• Must be able to think logically and clearly.
• Must have self-discipline.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Must be safety conscious, to avoid unnecessary accidents.
• Must have business sense and good judgment.
• Must care about the quality of work to be done and have customer satisfaction in mind.
