POSITION
Short Term Insurance Broker Consultant (Commercial Agent Department)
LOCATION
Western Cape (Cape Town or Stellenbosch or Tyger Valley) or (Willow Ridge – Pretoria) or Centurion or Bedfordview, South Africa
SALARY
A retainer of R29 600 is guaranteed for the first 3 months. Thereafter it will gradually reduce over a 36-month (3-year) period (plus Commission)

RESPONSIBILITIES
- The incumbent of this position will be responsible for growing and developing the business insurance portfolio by building a book of short-term insurance. The individual will sell personal lines and Commercial lines by prospecting and canvassing for new business sales.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Completed Matric or National Senior Certificate
- Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Must have own reliable vehicle with uninterrupted access to the vehicle
- Valid code B driver’s license
- 3 years of commercial business sales experience in a face-to-face selling environment
- Previous experience at a brokerage or short-term insurance (B2B)
- Experience in lead generating, cold calling and relationship management
- Communication (verbal and written) in English
- Confident and enthusiastic self-starter who can take initiative
- Self-starter and entrepreneur mindset
- Strong Business Acumen
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Balances team and individual responsibility and provides and accepts feedback
- Analytical, Numerical & mathematical skills
Should you have previous experience as a FAIS representative the following is non-negotiable:
- FAIS credits/Full insurance Qualification (Depending on Dofa)
- RE5 (Depending on Dofa)
