- Relevant Diploma or Degree.
- At least 5 years’ experience in HR, with at least 2 years as an HR Manager Assistant / HR Manager.
- Experience working on Sage Pastel Payroll (preferable).

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER
Location: Durban North
Our client based in Durban is looking for a Human Resource Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and manage employment contracts, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with company policies.
- Review and update the company’s code of conduct, ensuring compliance with legal standards and promoting ethical behaviour.
- Manage disciplinary actions, providing guidance to managers and ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
- Oversee employee leave management, ensuring compliance with company policies and labour laws.
- Liaise with external payroll providers, managing cost-to-company components like salary, medical aid, and pension fund contributions.
- Administer employee benefits, ensuring smooth management of medical aid, pension funds, and other benefits.
- Manage the performance appraisal process, providing timely feedback and coordinating salary adjustments.
- Identify and implement training and development programmes to enhance employee skills and support career growth.
- Foster a positive company culture by developing initiatives that enhance employee engagement and well-being.
- Set, track, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with department heads.
- Develop and promote wellness programmes addressing the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of employees.
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws and labour regulations, advising management on legal requirements.
- Support recruitment efforts by managing job postings, conducting interviews, and on-boarding new employees.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, including employee files, contracts, and performance documentation.
- Handle employee relations, addressing concerns and conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyse turnover trends to improve retention strategies.
- Implement, monitor and update HR policies, ensuring they align with company objectives and current legislation.
- Ensure that all HR processes and procedures are documented and streamlined for operational efficiency.
