HV BESS Engineer

Responsible for the design, development and implementation of High voltage Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety and operational requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

• BEng (Electrical/BSc (Electrical Engineering) or similar
• Minimum 4 years’ work experience in same or similar role
• Proven experience in High Voltage design.
• Excellent critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
• Excellent Verbal & written communication skills and coordination abilities
• Proficiency in IT and relevant engineering software.

Key Performance:

• Design & Development
• Develop and review electrical configurations for BESS.
• Design, prepare, simulate, test, and implement design, drawings, technological concepts, reports and solutions.
• Produce high quality design and technical documentation that adheres to engineering principles for internal and external purposes.
• Innovate new designs, technological concepts, and solutions and enhance existing systems.
• Conduct investigation and fault finding on current and new design, technological concepts, and Development solutions.
• Implement and manage new technical integrations to enhance project performance
• Develop production and testing equipment including documentation packs.
• Provide production support, test instructions and training.
• Hold regular reviews with relevant stakeholders.
• Identify and implement design improvements, value engineering solutions, and upgrades.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of designs and modifications
• Technical Support
• Provide technical support during the design, construction, testing and commissioning phases
• Assist technicians in project execution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to BESS equipment and systems.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions for technical failures and or issues.
