Industrial Engineer
Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Design & Engineering, leads the creation of innovative designs for plastic products, from concept sketch to final model release.
This role requires extensive experience in plastic injection moulding and leverages CAD systems like SolidWorks and Fusion360.
You will shape the look and feel of products while ensuring a blend of form, function, and process-driven development (NPD, ECO, NPO). Responsibilities include spearheading design strategies, developing proposals for global customers, managing technical resources, and providing leadership in design reviews.
The role demands a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of plastic manufacturing processes and the ability to manage complex projects.
Strong project management skills, creativity, and the ability to think three-dimensionally are essential.
You must demonstrate leadership by mentoring junior team members, ensuring project alignment with business objectives, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
You will be commercially astute, able to influence at a strategic level, and manage risks effectively. Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills are critical to the success of the role.
