Fitter and Turner

Job Description:

Looking for an experienced Fitter and Turner to join a company that supplies a large range of agricultural equipment.

Working hours:

Monday to Thursday – 07.30am – 16.00

Friday – 07.30am – 16.00

Responsibilities:

• Assemble, maintain, and repair agricultural machinery and equipment
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications for accurate fitting and turning
• Operate lathes, milling machines, and other tools for precision machining
• Manufacture or modify parts as required
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues to ensure equipment functionality
• Perform regular maintenance and inspections of machinery
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational standards
• Collaborate with technicians and engineers to meet production and maintenance goals

Experience:

• The candidate must have knowledge of agricultural machines and be proficient in turning and milling work.
• Extensive experience in fitting and turning for agricultural machinery
• Proficient in operating turning and milling machines for precision work
• Skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
• Expertise in machining, fitting, and assembling mechanical components
• Experienced in manufacturing and modifying parts for agricultural equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for mechanical repairs
• Ability to perform regular maintenance and preventative servicing of machinery
• Adherence to safety and quality control standards in machining operation
