Hire Resolve is excited to announce that we are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join a prominent construction firm based in Johannesburg. This role will involve overseeing the financial aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to budgets.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing project budgets, and providing expert advice on procurement strategies. You will work closely with contractors, architects, and clients to ensure that projects meet the specified requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
  • Analyze tender documents and submit competitive bids.
  • Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reports.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Assess the value of completed work and arrange payments.
  • Manage change orders and ensure claims are processed efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Review architectural drawings and specifications for accurate quantity take-offs.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure project timelines are met.

Requirements

  • Min. 5 years experience
  • Preferable to use CCS (Candy)
  • Can draw up BOQ’s (Bill Of Quantities)
  • Likes to be on site for measures
