TRAINEE BOILER TRAINING OFFICER
Job Description
Reporting to the BDTC Manager, the primary purpose of these positions will be to prepare and provide training materials and courses on the operation, maintenance and management of shell boilers and boiler ancillaries. The successful candidates must be prepared to travel locally and across borders for extended periods of time.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12
- Must have a valid driver licence.
- Boiler Attendance Certificate
- N2 or N3 in Mechanical Engineering will be advantageous.
EXPERIENCE
- 5 years’ experience as a Boiler Operator
- 2 years’ experience as a Team Leader/ Supervisor
- Fluent in English and a third national language will be advantageous.
- Computer Literacy
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Compile training materials and ensure that they remain relevant.
- Keep abreast with JT products and developments.
- Market and sell training courses.
- Present training courses and evaluate trainees attending boiler courses.
- Identify training needs of boiler users.
- Ensure that all BDTC equipment and buildings are maintained and kept clean.
- Compile and evaluation trainee’s assessments
- Submitting assessment reports
- Submission and follow up on quotations.

- Be presentable and professional.
- Excellent communication skills and well spoken.
- Be able to interact with customers at all levels.
- Technical knowledge
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
