Paint Application Robot Programmer – PE

Hire Resolve is seeking a dedicated Paint Application Robot Programmer to join our client’s team in Port Elizabeth. Our client is an industry leader in advanced manufacturing solutions, with a strong emphasis on automation and robotic applications in the painting and coating domain. As a Paint Application Robot Programmer, you will be responsible for programming and optimizing robotic painting systems, ensuring high-quality finishes and efficient production processes.

Responsibilities

• Program and optimize robotic painting applications for various substrates and coatings.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop painting cycle times and workflows.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of robotic painting equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during programming and operational processes.
• Document programming changes and maintain accurate records of robot parameters and settings.
• Conduct training sessions for operators on the effective use of robotic painting systems.
• Stay informed about advancements in robotic technology and painting techniques.

• Diploma or degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in programming industrial robots, preferably for painting applications.
• Strong knowledge of robotic programming languages (e.g., ABB Rapid, Fanuc Karel, etc.).
• Experience in paint processes, including spray technology and surface preparation.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Willingness to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
