Are you a hands-on problem solver with experience in building maintenance? We’re looking for a dedicated Building Maintenance Handyman. If you take pride in keeping a building functioning smoothly, this role might be perfect for you!
Key Responsibilities:
As a Building Maintenance Handyman, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, ensuring the integrity of the building is maintained.
These include:
- Painting, drywalling, and basic plumbing repairs
- Repairing door locks, windows, and fences
- Operating forklifts and scaffolding
- Roof leak repairs, signage fitting, and cleaning gutters
- Tarring, cementing, and tiling
- Office relocations and carpet repairs
- General cleaning and ensuring good housekeeping standards
- Adhering to safety legislation and completing job cards
Requirements:
Work Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in building maintenance, services, or utilities
- Knowledge of water reticulation, plumbing, and basic carpentry
- A team player with the ability to work independently
- Good timekeeping and knowledge of plant safety
- Must have clear criminal and credit checks completed
Education:
- Matric (preferably)
- A building-related qualification or practical experience will be an advantage
