DEBT COLLECTION AGENT

Job Purpose:
Dealing with low to medium risk debtors accounts. Responsible for reaching out to customers to collect payment for any outstanding account payments as instructed. Acts as the liaison between clients outstanding accounts and RC.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Calling all allocated accounts
- Answering incoming calls
- Escalate queries to the relevant credit controller or team leader
- Clearly note all correspondence (verbal and/or written) on applicable debt collection system
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications
- A Matric (NQF Level 4) is essential.
Experience
- 3 years Debt Collection experience.
Key Competencies
- Deal with customers diligently, courteously and professionally while collecting payments (Excellent telephone manner)
- Ability to understand and read a statement, in order to identify overdue account
- Be concise and assertive, although also persuasive an patient
- Excel knowledge
- Customer service orientated, but debt collection comes first and some knowledge of CPA
Working Hours
08h00am until 17h00pm, Monday to Friday. Saturday work is required according to operational needs.
Salary:
Market related.
