Position : Inventory Clerk
Department : PDS – Distribution Centre
Location : Cape Town Region
Reporting to : Inventory Controller

Purpose of the Role
The core purpose of the role of the Inventory Clerk is to accurately manage the stock holding of the Distribution Centre to ensure efficient fulfill client requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
GENERAL SKILLS

INVENTORY CLERK FUNCTION
· Checking replenishment of stock into pick face bins.
· Maintaining and updating records.
· Counting materials, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock.
· Reporting discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.
· Developing or improving upon inventory management procedures.
· Stocking and distributing supplies, equipment or merchandise.
· Reserving stock on WMS
· Completion of necessary paperwork related to inventory movements.
· Communicating with line manager on possible issues that could cause delays.
· Continuous updates on processes and progress on customer orders between departments.
OTHER
· Assisting in other departments based on operational needs.
· Housekeeping in and around the DC.
· Assist with stock taking and inventory management as required.
· Adhere to Health & Safety Guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
· Matric certificate
· 1 year experience working in Inventory
· Previous experience working a Distribution Centre.
· Available to work shifts and over time as required.
· Must be a team player, an active learner and problem-solver.
· Working knowledge on MS suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
· Must have reliable transport.
· WMS and Syspro knowledge
