Job Vacancy: Signage Coordinator

Responsibilities:

• Meet with clients to discuss their signage needs and preferences.
• Calculate costs and measurements, prepare planning application forms, and draft contracts.
• Create detailed designs using design software (Corel Draw).
• Operate various machinery, including flatbed and roll-to-roll UV printers, vinyl cutting machines, and laser cutting machines.
• Manufacture signs using materials such as vinyl, Perspex, plastic, metal, wood, and glass fibre.
• Apply vinyl wraps to vehicles and produce 3-D letters.
• Handwrite signs with accuracy in letter size, spacing, and artistic presentation.
• Perform minor electrical work for illuminated signs while adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Install, repaint, and repair signs on-site as needed.

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience in the signage industry (retail) and in the shop fitting industry.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including machine operation and material selection.
• Proficiency in costings and quotations.
• Strong drawing skills and proficiency in design software.
• Detail-oriented with a good sense of color and typeface knowledge.
• Excellent practical skills and numerical aptitude for calculating spacing.
• Ability to work at heights and maintain awareness of health and safety standards.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ideal candidates will currently hold a supervisory position and be seeking growth, with a blend of design expertise and hands-on manufacturing knowledge, rather than just graphic design experience.
