Quantity Surveyor – Construction – Easten Cape
Job Description
Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable construction company located in the Eastern Cape. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be instrumental in managing and controlling costs for construction projects across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for various construction projects.
- Monitoring project expenditures and providing financial reporting to ensure compliance with budgets.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and architects to manage project scope and costs effectively.
- Preparing and analyzing tender documentation, including drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities.
- Managing the procurement of materials and subcontractors to ensure value for money.
- Assisting in contract negotiations and preparing final accounts for projects.
- Identifying, assessing, and managing financial risks associated with construction projects.
- Conducting site visits to evaluate progress and ensure alignment with project specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in estimating and quantity surveying software, such as CCS, CostX, or similar.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- A proven track record of managing project budgets and timelines.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
