Job Title: Account Manager – Activations
Location: Hybrid (3x Office Days | 2x work from home)
Department: Client Services
Reports to: Business Director
Job Summary:
The account manager is responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing project execution, and ensuring the successful delivery of brand activations. This role requires a dynamic professional who can balance project management duties with exceptional client service, driving seamless activations and campaigns that meet client objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client relationship management:
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, building and nurturing strong, long-term relationships.
- Understand clients’ business goals and develop strategies to meet their objectives through effective activations.
- Provide regular updates, reports, and presentations to clients, ensuring transparency and satisfaction.
- Project management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of brand activations and experiential marketing projects.
- Manage timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Collaborate with internal teams (creative, production, logistics) to coordinate activation deliverables.
- Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project flow.
- Client service excellence:
- Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring client needs are met and exceeded at every stage of the activation process.
- Monitor client feedback and address concerns promptly to maintain a high level of client satisfaction.
- Offer strategic insights and guidance to help clients optimize the impact of their activations.
- Financial management:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality.
- Track expenses, approve invoices, and provide accurate financial reporting to clients and management.
- Seek opportunities for upselling or expanding services to grow client accounts.
- Team collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all elements of the activation align with client expectations and brand standards.
- Lead post-activation debriefs, analyzing the performance of projects and recommending improvements for future initiatives.
Key capabilities and skills:
- Client service excellence: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong ability to build trust and maintain lasting client relationships.
- Project management expertise: Strong organizational and time management skills with experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and managing resources.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey ideas clearly and persuasively to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Problem-solving: Ability to anticipate challenges, find solutions, and adapt to changing client needs or project conditions.
- Financial acumen: Experience in budget management, financial reporting, and cost control to ensure profitability for both the client and the company.
- Attention to detail: A keen eye for quality and precision in project execution and client communications.
Qualifications:
- Marketing qualification, business, communications, or related field.
- Three to five years of experience in account management, preferably in activations, experiential marketing, or events.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Strong understanding of the activations industry and current market trends.
- Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and on-site activation management.
