Hire Resolve is on the lookout for a QA Advisor based in Cape Town to enhance our client’s quality assurance initiatives. The QA Advisor will play a crucial role in ensuring that the quality assurance framework aligns with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance on quality issues across all business areas, including construction delivery, proposals, procurement, and business services.
  • Participate actively in supply chain management processes.
  • Prepare and execute Project Quality Plans (PQPs) and Project Management Plans (PMPs) for all Nuclear projects.
  • Incorporate industry-standard requirements, such as NQA-1, into the Integrated Management System (IMS) of the organisation.
  • Execute the internal audit program to enhance transparency, effectiveness, and efficiency of Quality Management (QM) audits, creating a positive business impact.
  • Ensure professional management and reporting of non-conformances (NC) across all business units.
  • Drive quality improvement methods and enhance process performance management (e.g., 8D, RCA, FMEA).
  • Provide continuous management and support for all projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years in the EPC industry as a QA Advisor.
  • Qualified Lead Auditor in ISO 9001.
  • Qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer (or equivalent) with professional registration.
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies is advantageous.
  • Proven track record of training and successfully implementing company strategies.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 principles, RD-0034, and ASME NQA-1.
  • Familiarity with ISO 19011 principles.
  • Basic principles of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Project Management.
  • Project management principles, including PMBOK, contract management, and planning.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).
  • Multi-disciplinary engineering, procurement, and construction industry experience.
  • Knowledge of nuclear industry standards, codes, regulations, and practices is advantageous.
