A company in Tulbagh, Western Cape, needs a Blow Moulding Technician. This person will work with machines that make plastic bottles. You will keep the machines running smoothly and fix any problems.

What the job is
You will operate and look after blow moulding machines. These machines make plastic bottles for drinks. You must make sure the machines work well and produce good quality bottles.

What you will do
- Set up and run blow moulding machines.
- Do regular checks and fix small problems to stop big breakdowns.
- Find and fix faults in the machines.
- Help change moulds and set up machines for different jobs.
- Check why problems happen and stop them from happening again.
- Adjust machine settings to make them work better.
- Check bottles to make sure they are good quality.
- Write down what you do for production and maintenance.
- Follow safety and quality rules.
- Help make the production process better and reduce waste.
- Train and help other workers when needed.

What you need
- A technical qualification like N4 or a trade test in mechanical, electrical or plastics.
- Experience working with blow moulding machines.
- Good skills to fix mechanical and electrical problems.
- Knowledge of how plastic is made into bottles.
- Can read and understand technical drawings and machine manuals.
- Knows safety rules in a factory.
- Good at solving problems and explaining things.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and overtime.

- A salary between R300,000 and R360,000 per year.
