What the job is: This is a part-time cashier position at the Dis-Chem Pharmacies store in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal. The company is looking for someone to assist with customer service at checkout, ensuring a smooth and professional shopping experience. The role is fixed-term.

What you will do: Handle customer transactions accurately using the Dis-Chem system, greet customers professionally, and assist with purchases. Report customer complaints/compliments to supervisors. Meet hourly customer turnover goals. Inform customers about current sales/promotions. Follow security rules to ensure safety. Manage cash flow, including drop safe procedures and password security. Scan and process all items, including loyalty cards (Discovery Health, Medihelp, ABSA Rewards). Handle returns/exchanges as permitted. Answer product-related questions and adhere to security protocols.

What you need: Matric (Grade 12) completion. Minimum 6 months of cashier/till experience. Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office. Strong math skills and English proficiency. Basic customer service experience. Accuracy, attention to detail, and trustworthiness. Availability for retail hours (including evenings/weekends). Reliable transport or local residence. Third language is advantageous but not required.
