What the job is: This is a full-time Junior Copywriter position at 99 Cents, an advertising agency based in Cape Town. You will work in a fast-paced environment where creativity meets digital marketing, helping brands connect with South African shoppers through clever and effective copy.

What you will do: Work closely with the art director and creative team to turn client briefs into bold, creative ideas. This includes writing scripts and concepts for ads, preparing visual references, and presenting ideas confidently. You will also attend client meetings, production shoots, and work with voice-over artists to record radio ads.

What you need: Strong foundation in copywriting with experience in both traditional and digital advertising. Portfolio showcasing writing skills, digital thinking, and creativity. Ability to take a brief from start to finish, strong conceptual thinking, and confidence in presenting work. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic Figma knowledge. A completed tertiary qualification in copywriting, writing, or brand building is required.
