This job is for a Diesel Mechanic at Assmang, a company working in mining and quarrying. You will be responsible for maintaining diesel-powered machines to ensure smooth operation. The role is based in South Africa, near Assmang’s mining operations, and involves hands-on work in a busy industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, diagnose, and repair diesel engines and machinery.
- Follow maintenance schedules and fix breakdowns.
- Keep detailed records in the company’s asset management system.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow safety protocols and report hazards.
- Participate in safety meetings and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate (Matric) and a trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic.
- Completed N2 Engineering Studies.
- Valid Code B or EB driver’s license with Dover B Symbol endorsement.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic in mining or industrial environments.
