This is a contract position for a Programme Coordinator focused on Music Programmes at the University of the Free State (UFS). The role is based at the Bloemfontein Campus, within the Odeion School of Music in the Faculty of Humanities. The position is open only to permanent academic staff already working in the Odeion School of Music, with a contract lasting five years. The Programme Coordinator will lead and manage academic music programmes, ensuring they meet academic standards and student needs. Responsibilities include planning strategic direction, monitoring performance, managing enrolment, advising students, and developing/reviewing the curriculum. The role also involves coordinating quality assurance, accreditation, compliance, and working with stakeholders to improve programme relevance and student career readiness. Strong organizational skills, strategic thinking, and professionalism are required. The position offers an allowance calculated via a transparent formula and opportunities for professional growth.
