The University of the Free State (UFS) is seeking an Academic Head of School for the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. This is a five-year contract position (renewable) based in Bloemfontein, Free State. Only current Academic Heads of Department from the departments of Exercise and Sports Science, Nutrition and Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Optometry, or Physiotherapy will be considered. The role involves leading academic programs, research, and service delivery while collaborating with the Dean, Vice Dean, and other Heads of Schools. Responsibilities include optimizing service platforms, managing faculty affairs, and driving innovation in teaching and learning. Applicants must hold a PhD (NQF Level 10) in a relevant discipline, demonstrate academic leadership, and meet UFS's dynamic status requirements. Preference will be given to candidates from under-represented designated groups.
