What the job is
This job is for a Sales and Customer Associate at homechoice, a well-known South African homeware retailer. For over 40 years, homechoice has helped customers create beautiful, affordable homes with quality products. You will work at the Pan Africa Shopping Centre showroom in Alexandra, Gauteng. The role is permanent, meaning you will have a full-time position with the company.

What you will do
As a Sales and Customer Associate, your main job will be to help customers in the showroom and turn their visits into sales. You will talk to customers to understand what they need and then show them products that match their requirements. You will explain how the products work, their prices, and any special offers available. Your goal is to meet sales targets and ensure customers leave happy with their purchases.

You will also handle customer service tasks, such as guiding customers through the buying process, taking payments, and processing orders. If customers have questions or problems, you will help solve them or pass the issue to the Store Supervisor or Showroom Manager if needed. Keeping the showroom clean and well-organized is also part of your job, including helping with stock and making sure products look appealing.

Another important part of the job is ensuring all sales and orders are correct and follow company rules. You will need to keep up with product updates, promotions, and any new sales strategies. Working well with your team and being flexible with your schedule, including weekends and holidays, is also expected.

What you need
To apply for this job, you need to have completed Matric (Grade 12). Some experience in retail sales is helpful, but at least one year of experience in a sales role is required. You should be comfortable talking to customers and working in a busy environment. Since this is a permanent job, you must be ready to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

A clean criminal record and a good credit record are also required. If you have experience in the homeware retail industry, that would be an advantage, but it is not a must.
