Eskom, a major electricity provider in South Africa, is hiring five Electrical Apprentices to work in the Northern Cape province. These apprentices will be based in different areas such as Colesberg, Carnarvon, De Aar, Petrusville, and Kimberley. This is a permanent job opportunity with a focus on training and development in the electricity and energy sector.

You will take part in a three-year training program combining classroom learning and hands-on work experience. Tasks include learning electrical engineering skills under supervision, assisting with maintenance, and gaining practical experience. Upon completion, you may earn a Trade Test certificate. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, careful instruction-following, and contributing to Eskom’s electrical systems.

Qualifications: N3 Electrical Engineering with four subjects OR Grade 12 with Maths (50%), Physical Science (50%), and English (40%) + N2 Electrical qualification. Alternatively, a Technical Grade 12 with electrical engineering subjects. Personal qualities include strong communication, self-discipline, motivation, safety focus, and computer literacy.
