This job is for a Line Boring Technician at Hire Resolve, a company working in the mining industry. The position is based in Middelburg, Mpumalanga. You will be responsible for fixing and maintaining heavy machinery by performing precision work like line boring, bore welding, and machining. This is a hands-on job for someone with experience in these technical trades who can work independently and deliver high-quality repairs.

What you will do:
- Travel to different sites to perform line boring and bore restoration on heavy machinery.
- Fix worn or damaged parts using precision tools and welding techniques.
- Inspect and measure components to determine required repairs.
- Carry out work using line boring machines, welding equipment, and precision tools.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and select appropriate repair methods.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and adhere to safety rules.
- Work overtime when necessary to meet deadlines or complete urgent repairs.

What you need:
- Trade qualification as a Turner, Fitter and Turner, or Machinist.
- Welders with extensive experience in line boring and bore welding may also be considered.
- At least five years of hands-on experience in line boring, bore welding, and repairing heavy machinery.
- Practical experience fixing and restoring bores in heavy equipment.
- Experience using precision measuring tools like micrometers.
- Valid driver’s license for travel to job sites.
- Ability to read technical instructions and work to exact measurements.
- Medical fitness for physically demanding work.
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
- Reliability, safety focus, and ability to work independently.
