What the job is: This job is for a Trainee Store Manager at Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Tongaat, KwaZulu-Natal. What you will do: You will help manage all daily store operations, including stock control, cash handling, and customer service. You will work closely with the store manager to meet sales targets for FMCG, health, and beauty products. Financial tasks include cash-ups, expense tracking, and accurate transaction processing. Customer service involves handling complaints, managing loyalty programs, and assisting customers. Staff-related tasks include leave management, scheduling, and record-keeping. As part of the trainee program, you will attend training sessions, complete assessments, and build a portfolio.

What you need: Matric (Grade 12) with 1-2 years of retail experience (preferably in stock management, cash handling, or customer service). Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office. Must work retail hours (including evenings/weekends). A valid driver’s license and reliable transport are required. A diploma in finance/administration is advantageous. Must be a South African citizen with a clean criminal and credit record.
