What the job is:
This job is for a Production Officer at the VKB Group’s Seed Processing Plant in Reitz, Free State. The VKB Group is a leading agricultural company supporting farmers and producing food from farm to table. They operate brands like VKB, GWK, and NTK across the food supply chain.

What you will do:
As a Production Officer, you will oversee the entire seed production process, including processing, testing, certification, packaging, and delivery. You will coordinate with farmers, regulatory bodies, and teams to ensure compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities include inventory management, team supervision, and ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

What you need:
- Diploma or degree in agriculture, plant production, agronomy, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in seed production, processing, or certification
- Registered SANSOR Field Inspector and Sampler (or willingness to obtain certification)
- Experience with inventory management, production planning, and customer relations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, seed certification, and SANSOR systems
- Bilingual (Afrikaans and English) communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and knowledge of seed conditioners/sieves
