This job is for a Lab Operator at Tharisa Minerals, located in the North West province. You will work in a research and development (R&D) lab, helping to test and improve processes to ensure high-quality chemical product production. Responsibilities include operating lab equipment, monitoring processes, and maintaining safety protocols. Collaboration with metallurgists and production teams is required to optimize workflows and resolve issues. Key tasks involve completing risk assessments, inspection sheets, and job cards while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Applicants must have Grade 12 (Matric) or an NQF Level 4 qualification, with NQF Level 5 or 6 skills programs preferred. A degree/diploma in Chemistry, Metallurgy, or Chemical Engineering is advantageous. Minimum 1 year of R&D lab or chemical processing experience is required. Medical fitness is mandatory.
