Rosebank College, part of the Independent Institute of Education (The IIE), is looking for a part-time lecturer in Computer Science. As a Computer Science lecturer, your main job will be to teach students in classes scheduled between 08:00 and 17:00, Monday to Friday. You will follow a set schedule based on the modules you are assigned to teach. Your responsibilities will include preparing students for assessments, tracking their progress, identifying struggling students, and helping them succeed. You will also work with the Central Academic Team to develop assessments and maintain the learning management system. Additionally, you will monitor student engagement, attend academic meetings, analyze student results, support at-risk students, and complete professional development activities.

To qualify, you should have a strong background in Computer Science with a Bachelor of Science Honours, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Relevant Honours degrees, postgraduate diplomas, or Master’s in IT, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Engineering with teaching or industry experience are also acceptable. At least two years of lecturing experience, preferably in Computer Science modules, is preferred. Work experience as a software engineer is beneficial. You must have one level higher qualification than the level you will be teaching. A copy of your academic transcript will be required.
