This job is for a Production Operator working with the Dango furnace at Samancor in Steelpoort, Limpopo. Responsibilities include loading materials, driving a special furnace car, and supporting the smelting process alongside the Furnace Operator. Key tasks involve monitoring furnace bed and mix levels, checking for water leaks, maintaining cleanliness, and updating records in the Furnace log sheets and MES system. Safety is critical, requiring hazard identification, adherence to safety rules, and reporting issues promptly. Applicants must have completed Grade 12 or an N3 qualification, with at least 2 years of experience in tapping. A valid driver’s license is required.
