Badger Holdings is looking for a skilled Data Scientist to work in their George office. The company uses data to solve real-world insurance problems, and they want someone who can take charge of machine learning projects. This role is perfect for someone with experience in turning business questions into practical solutions.

What you will do:
- Handle the entire process of machine learning, from preparing and cleaning data to building and deploying models.
- Ensure data readiness for analysis, create impactful features, and explore data for useful patterns.
- Build, test, and deploy machine learning models, monitoring performance over time.
- Troubleshoot model issues and ensure system reliability.
- Communicate findings clearly to business teams through dashboards and reports.

What you need:
- Degree or honours qualification in data science.
- At least 5 years of experience in insurance or financial services.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning (data prep to deployment).
- Proficiency in Python/R, SQL, and Snowflake.
- Experience with claims modelling, survival analysis, and statistical modelling.
- Bonus: Short-term insurance, ML platforms, or BI tools (Power BI, Qlik, Tableau).
