Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for part-time cashiers to join their team at the Centurion Mall store. This role is part of a talent pool program, which means you will be pre-screened and considered for future job opportunities within the company. As a cashier, you will handle customer transactions using the Dis-Chem operating system, including processing payments like cash, bank cards, vouchers, and coupons. You will manage loyalty cards, exchange merchandise, and handle returns when authorized. Responsibilities include maintaining cash flow, ensuring all stock and items are scanned correctly, and keeping the till secure at all times. You will follow Dis-Chem’s customer service policies, report complaints or compliments, and stay updated on current sales and promotions. Security procedures and fraud prevention are also key aspects of the role.

To qualify, you must have a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate. Some experience working as a cashier or with till operations (even six months) is helpful. Comfort with computers (Microsoft Office) and strong numerical skills are required. Good communication in English and basic customer service experience are essential. Willingness to work during retail hours (evenings, weekends, or holidays) is necessary. Reliability, trustworthiness, and attention to detail are important qualities.
