This program is specifically for those who have completed their N6 TVET College Certificate and need to complete their 18-month workplace experience to qualify for their N6 Diploma. The role is for a Junior Merchandiser, where you will gain hands-on experience in the wine and spirits industry.

As a Junior Merchandiser, your main tasks will include checking and managing stock on shelves. You will be responsible for determining which products need to be merchandised and ensuring they meet quality standards. This includes verifying vintage details, checking price tags, and making sure stock is rotated properly. You will also follow a set merchandising schedule to keep displays up to date and handle customer feedback, answering questions or complaints about products. Another key part of the job is keeping records of all merchandising activities and making phone calls as part of your assigned cycle. If products run out of stock, you will report this to your Regional Sales Manager so they can take action.

To apply for this internship, you must be under 28 years old and hold an N6 TVET Certificate in one of the following fields: Management Assistant, Business Management, or Marketing Management. Since this is an internship, no prior work experience in merchandising is required, but a strong interest in retail, customer service, and attention to detail will be helpful. You should also be comfortable working independently and communicating clearly with team members and customers.

This internship lasts for 18 months and comes with a monthly stipend of R3,500. While it is not a full-time job with benefits, it provides valuable work experience in the wine and spirits industry.
