This job is for a Production Operator Tapper at Samancor in Steelpoort, Limpopo. You will work in a mining environment, specifically in the production process where molten metal is handled. The role involves operating machinery, ensuring safety, and maintaining equipment to help recover molten metal from a furnace.

Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing the tap floor and related equipment before tapping molten metal from the furnace.
- Opening the taphole using a drill and lancing tool, then maintaining it with a drill rod.
- Closing the taphole using either a mud gun or manually.
- Preparing the area for slag skimming and removing waste material from the molten metal.
- Keeping the casting inspection floor clean and unblocking chutes.
- Operating an overhead crane to move heavy loads, such as metal castings and slag runners.
- Taking samples of metal and slag, submitting them to the laboratory with correct paperwork, and updating records in the tapping log sheets and MES system.

Requirements:
- Completed Grade 12 or an N3 qualification.
- At least one year of experience in a similar role.
- Overhead Crane License and Forklift License are advantageous.
- Ability to follow safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) procedures.
