This job is for a Production Operator Tapper at Samancor in Steelpoort, Limpopo. You will work in a mining environment, specifically in the production area where molten metal is handled. The role involves operating equipment and following strict safety procedures to ensure smooth production processes.

Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing the tap floor and equipment before tapping molten metal from the furnace
- Operating a drill and lancing tool to open the taphole and release molten product
- Maintaining the taphole with a drill rod and closing it using a mud gun or manually
- Skimming slag and keeping the casting inspection floor clean
- Operating an overhead crane to move heavy loads
- Taking metal and slag samples for laboratory analysis
- Updating records in tapping log sheets and MES system

Requirements:
- Grade 12 or N3 qualification
- Minimum 1 year of relevant production/mining experience
- Overhead Crane License and Forklift License preferred
- Ability to follow SHEQ procedures and work in a team

This is a permanent full-time position with potential for overtime and shift work in a dynamic mining environment.
