What the job is: This internship program is for young, unemployed TVET students who have completed their N6 Certificate and want to gain practical work experience in Malmesbury, Western Cape. Managed People Solutions is offering this opportunity to help students complete their required 18-month workplace experience to qualify for their N6 Diploma. The role is specifically for Junior Merchandisers, where you will work in the wine and spirits industry.

What you will do: As a Junior Merchandiser, your main tasks will include checking and managing stock on shelves. You will determine how much stock needs to be merchandised and draw up the stock requirements for your team. You will also inspect products on the shelf to ensure they are of good quality, check that price tags are correct, and ensure stock is rotating properly. Following the merchandising cycle plan, you will arrange products as instructed and handle customer complaints or questions about products. You will keep up with product knowledge and promotions, record all merchandising activities accurately, and make calls as part of your assigned cycle. If products are out of stock, you will report this to your Regional Sales Manager.

What you need: To apply, you must be under 28 years old and hold an N6 TVET Certificate in one of these fields: Management Assistant, Business Management, or Marketing Management. Since this is an internship, no prior work experience is required, but you must be eager to learn and work hard. You should also be comfortable communicating with customers and team members, as well as following instructions carefully.

What you will get: You will earn a monthly stipend of R3,500 for the 18-month internship.
