Job Description
Managed People Solutions is offering an internship opportunity for young, unemployed TVET students who have completed their N6 certificate and need workplace experience to qualify for their N6 Diploma. This program is specifically for people living in or near New Germany, Kwa-Zulu Natal. The role is designed to help you gain real work experience while earning a small monthly stipend.
As a Junior Merchandiser intern, you will be responsible for helping to keep store shelves organized and ensuring products are displayed correctly. You will start by checking stock levels and making sure the right products are available on the shelves. Your tasks will include verifying that product details like prices, quality, and expiration dates are correct. You will also follow a set schedule to update displays and promotions as instructed. Part of your job will be listening to customer feedback and reporting any issues to your supervisor. You will need to keep records of all your merchandising activities and make phone calls as part of your daily tasks. If products run out of stock, you will let your manager know so they can restock.
To apply, you must be under 28 years old and have completed your N6 TVET certificate in one of these fields: Management Assistant, Business Management, or Marketing Management. No prior work experience is required, but you should be eager to learn and work hard. Since this is an internship, you don’t need any professional experience, but you must be willing to commit to the full 18-month program. Good communication skills and attention to detail will be very helpful in this role.
You will receive a monthly stipend of R3,500 for the duration of the 18-month internship. This opportunity will give you hands-on experience in merchandising, which will look great on your resume and help you when applying for future jobs. You will also work alongside experienced professionals who can teach you important skills for your career. This is a great chance to gain confidence and learn how businesses operate in a real workplace environment.
